Zamzam Water in the Prophet’s Mosque

Drinking water in the Prophet’s Mosque is exclusively Zamzam water. It is transported from packaging stations in Makkah to Zamzam tanks in the Prophet’s Mosque in accordance with the highest standards of safety and purity.
In the Prophet’s Mosque, Zamzam water is supplied in 8,000 water containers, distributed inside the Prophet’s Mosque, roof and courtyards. There are also more than 1,200 drinking fountains distributed in the Prophet’s Mosque and the attached facilities. During the Hajj and ‘Umrah seasons, cold water containers are also available.
The Zamzam Water Distribution Center in the Prophet’s Mosque distributes more than 30,000 bottles of Zamzam water per day. It has launched the Zamzam Sabeel to provide Zamzam water to individuals, and to supply other mosques with Zamzam water, too. This Sabeel is located in the southwestern courtyard of the Prophet’s Mosque.
